Active Sisters Social Dinner

On Friday 16 February Affinity hosted its third "Active Sisters Social
Dinner." The purpose of the dinner is to bring together Muslim women in
leadership positions from various organisations for networking, socialising
and creating awareness.

Held at the Affinity offices the program included readings from the Qur'an,
discussion and the opportunity for a representative from each organisation
to talk. Each individual presented on their respective organisation as well
as initiatives and programs they have been focusing on.

The organisations that attended the evening included Affinity Intercultural
Foundation; Serene Islam; Feza Foundation; Islam Australia; Auburn Mosque;
AMCRAN; Mission of Hope; MWNNA; MWA; Semerkand; Mahboba's Promise; and
Illawarra Muslim Women's Association.

The night proved to be extremely positive and was enjoyed by all. It was a
great opportunity to raise awareness of all the good work that is being
undertaken by women within the Muslim community.
