07-Mar-07 Affinity talks to Muslim students

Mehmet Ozalp was invited by the Islamic Society (ISOC) of University of New South Wales to give a talk to the Muslim students on Wednesday 7 March. Approximately 35 students attended the talk which focused on the topic of "the five most significant challenges of being a young Muslim in a Western society". The challenges mentioned included identity, society, spirituality, Da'wah, and leadership. Each challenge was discussed from a Muslim perspective as well as some possible practical solutions, such as developing a unique "Australian Muslim Identity".
As a result of the success of this event the Association mentioned their willingness to do joint programs in the university in the future.
