Affinity Intercultural Foundation Strongly Condemns the London Bombings

Affinity Intercultural Foundation officials have expressed strong condemnation of the London bombings of July 7.

"The Affinity Intercultural Foundation strongly condemns all acts of terrorism and violence, be it by individuals, groups, organisations or governments," said Affinity director Mehmet Saral. “While we continually strive for peace and dialogue, we have again seen that forces exist which aim to shatter that peace and fruitful dialogue. Such events show that we, the interfaith communities, must work harder to achieve our shared vision of peaceful co-existence."

Affinity's President, Mehmet Ozalp, also condemned the bombings and added “Terrorism goes against the teachings of all God revealed religions."

"We express our deepest condolences to all of the victims and their families, and hope that the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. "
