Dear Mr. Saral,

On behalf of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, and on my own behalf, I wish to thank you for your condolence message expressed in a media release on behalf of the Affinity Intercultural Foundation, on the occasion of the death of H.H. Pope John Paul II.

In the light of our Christian faith we are filled with hope for the future. May the Almighty God grant eternal reward to Pope John Paul II.

The late Pope taught us to build bridges of mutual respect and friendship across religious boundaries and, in the name of God, to promote peace and solidarity in the world. Making treasure of the precious heritage left by Pope John Paul II, I am sure that all of us will continue to collaborate in order to promote the cause of interreligious dialogue for the benefit of humankind.
