Muslims in Australia, National Security & Harmony

In conjunction with members of the Muslim and non-Muslim community in Australia, Affinity Intercultural Foundation facilitated a Summit entitled “Muslims in Australia: Contributions to National Security & Harmony” on Sunday, 11 September 2005 at 1pm at the Seymour Centre

Synopsis of event

This event will have the momentum to alter the emotions of mainstream Australians who have struggled in recent times with the elevated suspicion of all Muslims in Australia. For the first time in recent Australian history, Muslims will project a consistent and powerful message of solidarity that will not go unheard. As law abiding and peace promoting Muslims we must stand together and inform the Australian population that the greatest victims of recent occurrences are mainly innocent people.
