On Monday 19th of July, Affinity had the pleasure of hosting a Thai delegation that had been invited to Australia by DFAT.The Thai delegation included mainly heads of high achieving schools in Thailand. The purpose of the visit was to allow them to be exposed to different educational methods especially from countries around the Asia Pacific area.
The Thai delegates included:
Mr. Thanoo Noonnoi Director of Dejapattanayanukul School,
Mr. Kamal Abdulwahab Director of Aziz-Satarn School,
Mr. Phaisan Toyib Director of Auttrakiya School,
Mr. Razi Bensulong Director of Thammavithaya School.
Affinity hosted the delegates at the Affinity centre, where President Mehmet Saral gave them a presentation of the works that Affinity has been undertaking for the past nearly 10 years.
After this they were taken to a Thai restaurant by Affinity’s Project Coordinator Ernest Kulauzovic where they tried their own traditional dishes from their homeland but Australian style.
After a short visit to impressive Auburn Gallipoli Mosque, Affinity’s Ernest took them to Sule College in Prestons, a private College which places importance on values based education. The delegates enjoyed their visit to the college and were most impressed with the schools purpose and mission.
One of the delegates from Thailand informed us that he was a Principal of a school with over 4,000 students. It seems these delegates have a lot on their plates and we hope that they have benefited from the full day’s session that Affinity coordinated for them.
It was a great pleasure to host the delegates and we hope them a fruitful visit and safe journey back home.
