Affinity Farewells an Old Friend, Mr John Oldmeadow

E-mail Print

Affinity’s Mehmet Saral and Ahmet Keskin attended the Uniting Church “Closure of Ministry for John Oldmeadow” Service on 10th of February 2011 at the United Theological College Chapel.

Mr John Oldmeadow, who was the Executive Director of the Board of Education, was a person who was much loved by his staff and peers at the Uniting Church and who fulfilled the role as Executive Director very successfully for the last 10 years or so. Mr John Oldemadow had also developed very close friends within Affinity. He had attended an Affinity “Spirit of Anzac” Study Tour of Turkey in April 2007 and he also received the Affinity’s Education Award at the 2010 Affinity Friendship & Dialogue Iftar Dinner in NSW Parliament House.

Below is an email John sent Mehmet:

“Mehmet,
Thanks for these photos. It was great to have Affinity represented at my Closure and it certainly reminded me of the experiences we have shared… Thanks again for your friendship and the interfaith insights that it has brought me.
John”

We wish him well in his future endeavours.
